For the past 14 years,
Steven and Juliette
de Combes have been traveling through sub-equatorial Africa collecting and researching tribal artifacts, which are now displayed in private and public collections around the world.
Stevens passion for tribal art grew as a result of exposure to the beautiful west African artifacts collected by his father, Michel, during the ‘70’s and 80’s and later whilst involved with African Image
in Cape Town.
Juliette grew up on a dairy farm in the Great Rift Valley and was familiar with traveling through rough territory – the combination of two backgrounds attributed to a strong and productive team
